My take on one of the common AR applications during 2022-23; vehicle configurators.
Powered by generative AI (OpenAI's DALL·E), the app allows users to describe a look or theme, and instantly see a unique, AI-generated material or paint style applied to the car—bridging creativity with cutting-edge tech.
What sets this apart from existing AR car experiences is the attention to detail, especially in the materials. I focused on developing advanced shaders that replicate the depth and complexity of real car paint, including subtle noise, reflections, and metallic sheens.
